FAQ

How long do canvas prints last?

We use some of the latest technologically advanced inks on the market today and come with a manufacturers guarantee of over 100 years when placed in normal interior conditions. Just like any artwork you need to take care to keep it out of direct sunlight & high moisture areas.

How can I give you my photo?

We can work with most common file formats including EPS, JPG, RAW, PSD, PDF or Tiff which can be sent via email or on a CD. We will accept photos to be scanned but recommend that they are well protected for delivery.
If you are local you can bring your camera or USB device and we can download your images from those.

What can I do to ensure high quality photos?

If you are using a digital camera, taking your photographs at the highest possible resolution will give you the best detail. The larger the megapixel rating on the camera the larger your images can be. Most cameras allow you to choose 3-4 different quality settings so it's important that you check that this is set to the correct one.
For normal photographs and artwork it is more practical for us to see these to make a judgement on how well they will print. We are more than happy to ask any questions via one of our general enquiry forms, by giving us a phone call or if possible drop in to our studio with your photos for us to look at.

What sizes do you do?

We have 9 set sizes that we have listed but we can custom print and frame at any size as long as the shortest side is no larger than 1200mm.
Just ask and we will give you a price for anything you require.

Can I make changes to my colour photo?

Yes we can turn colour into black and white, Sepia or add special effects like a simulated oil painting, watercolour, pop art, sketch etc.
We can add text to mark a special occasion or even a signature if you want your work signed.

How do I place an order?

Choose the photo that you want to put on to canvas.
If this is a digital photo you can upload the image through our online enquiry form or email us the photo orders@printedpixels.co.nz. We will then get back to you with a firm quote and any suggestions we may have to help you get the best possible results.
You can post your photograph or a CD to us directly with full instructions and contact details.
You must inform us if you would like us to return anything you send us.

How much for delivery?

Delivery throughout the North Island is $13.00 (includes packaging)
Delivery throughout the South Island is $19.00 (includes packaging)
Please ask about overseas delivery.

Can I purchase gift vouchers?

Yes you can. We supply these printed on the actual canvas. Tell us what amount you want it to represent and any personal text that you may want to add. Of course we need to know where to send it.
It's that easy. The voucher will be valid for 12 months.

How do I care for my canvas?

To increase the lifespan of your canvas you need to keep the canvas out of direct sunlight and moisture, just like a normal photograph. Because we laminate our canvases you can clean the surface for fly spot etc gently with warm water.
